Butch Morrell

Morrell Family 2005 Butch lived in Wayland for 14 years, and finished school there in 1961. After school, he worked for Washington Street Motors in Woburn, Massachusetts. In June of 1965 he enlisted in the army, working in the motor pool and eventually reaching the rank of Sergeant E5. He was honorably discharged in 1968 and went to work for Starmer's Exxon in July of that year. Butch marred Janet Densmore in August of 1968, with whom he has two children and two grandchildren. On April 1, 1993, after 25 years with Exxon, he and his son Thomas founded Butch & Son Automotive in the town of Sudbury. After 49 years in the automotive industry, Butch enjoys relationships with many long-time customers, and creating new relationships with the people he meets.

Thomas O. Morrell

Thomas Morrell Thomas graduated from Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School in 1991. He worked as a technician for Firestone as part of a educational program, eventually becoming a full-time employee after graduation. In 1993 he joined forces with his father to start Butch & Son Automotive. Thomas has since taken many courses to better enhance his automotive education, and continues to go to classes as they become more available in this continually advancing industry. He is an ASE Master Certified Technician, an Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, and Undercar Specialist. He has completed courses with the State of Massachusetts and is a state-certified emissions repair technician.

On a personal note, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He met Debi and her daughter Amanda in 1993; they were married in August of 2004. As of June 2008, Thomas is a second-degree black belt, and continues to enjoy his participation, research, and growth in the sport. He enjoys the challenges that the automotive industry has presented to him, and has continued to enjoy the relationships he has built with his customers and colleagues within the field.
